Join us on the evening Tuesday, June 29 for a taste of Western Australia in an online wine tour and tasting. Will Lyons, wine columnist, The Sunday Times, will lead you through wines from Perth’s vines and Margaret River Region to the epic Great Southern Region.
Western Australia is home to eight extraordinary wine regions, many crafting wines that are sought after worldwide. Learn about the hero wine varieties and the passionate people behind award-winning labels, and get a glimpse of the ancient lands and twin oceans that define the region’s terroir.
The Margaret River Region’s world-beating chardonnay and cabernet sauvignons are just the start. Will Lyons also will be joined by Susan D’Arcy, Sunday Times luxury travel expert and winemaker Virginia Willcock, all the way from Vasse Felix winery in Margaret River. The panel will share their inside knowledge and favourite spots among the surf beaches, towering forests, ancient caves and wildflower-lined walking trails of Australia’s only biodiversity hotspot.
There are also a limited number of complimentary VIP tasting kits on offer. Subscribers who sign up here will receive six mini WA wine samples to taste alongside the panel. Hurry, there are only 80 kits on offer.
So that you can enjoy the featured wines along with the event, the Sunday Times Wine Club are offering £12 off an exclusive two bottle case from Vasse Felix. Included is Vasse Felix Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 and Vasse Felix Chardonnay 2018. To order your case click 'Order your wine' in the information box.
